SERVING THE WORLD

Designed and Maintained by www.thesumneradvantage.com and www.sumnerswebs.com © 2007-2010

Material:

100% Polyester

Advantages:

1. Blue in Color

2. Changes color when saturated

    with blood.

Benefits:

1. Very visible. Easy to locate

    in wound.

2. Visibility. As the sponge

    becomes saturated with blood, it

    changes to blue/black color.

    When saturated, it changes back

to blue. This allows the surgeon

    to estimate saturation rate of

sponges to tell if there is a

bleeder that needs to be taken

care of. Also, dark colors do not

reflect light, so there is very little

glare from O.R. lights with use of

    colored sponges.
